This birthday cake is a true showstopper! Decorated with white and blue buttercream, it sparkles with a fun topper that boldly declares, “BRUH I’m 10.” It’s the perfect centerpiece for a joyful celebration, bringing smiles and sweet memories to the big day!
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup milk
- 3 large eggs
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened (for frosting)
- 2-3 tablespoons milk (for frosting)
- Blue and white food coloring
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this to the creamed mixture, alternating with milk. Stir in vanilla.
- Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
- For the frosting, beat together the softened butter and powdered sugar, adding milk until you reach your desired consistency. Divide the frosting and color one half with blue food coloring.
- Once the cakes are cool, frost the top of one layer with white frosting, place the second layer on top, and frost the entire cake with the remaining white frosting. Decorate with blue stars and add your “BRUH” sparkly topper!
